Fun and challenging short courses at Sedgefield and Goukamma and Black Waters. Internationally renowned courses in Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and George.
Bird Watching
The Sedgefield lagoon is a bird-watchers paradise, and you can see many right from the balcony, including our favourite Malachite Kingfisher! Be sure to visit Birds of Eden in Plettenberg Bay, a great family-friendly day out.
Bungee Jumping
Dare to do the highest bungee jump in the world at the Bloukrans Bridge above the Storms River gorge. If you’re looking for other adrenaline-inducing activities there is also quad biking and zip-lining.
Wildlife Sanctuaries
Visit one of the reputable wildlife sanctuaries in the area including Radical Raptors, Jukani Big Cat Sanctuary, Monkeyland and Birds of Eden.
Boating
There is a popular boating area for water fun and water-skiing just opposite the house. Power upriver to and around Swartvlei lake at full tide. Idle out to enjoy blissful, tranquil sunset cruises over quiet waters. Suitable for outboards up to 200hp. Boat parking at the house.
Bowls & Tennis
Visitors are welcome to play bowls or tennis at the local sports club.
Sailing
Swartvlei lake is popular with dinghy sailors of all classes, and regional regattas enjoy the excellent facilities. There is a fee for launching.
