Sedgefield is a great destination for families and adventure and is Africa’s first Slow Town. It has won the Getaway Magazine Best Holiday Destination in SA in 2016. It  is a quiet peaceful village with no traffic hassles and all essential services, supermarkets, artisanal bakery, craft  brewery, rustic oyster bar, chemist, hairdressers, coffee shops, restaurants,  library, tennis, bowls, and  golf clubs.

We are surrounded by the Garden Route National Park and the Goukamma Provincial Nature Reserve, so walking trails and opportunities to enjoy nature abound. Close by is Buffalo Bay, one of the most glorious beaches in SA. For the adventurous, MTB, golf, paragliding and kite surfing are popular activities close by. We are centrally located for day trips to Knysna, Mossel Bay, Oudtshoorn, Plettenburg Bay and Storms River. Our 3 Saturday markets,  Wild Oats Farmer’s Market, Scarab and Mosaic Craft Markets are famous and fabulous!  Yet Sedgefield remains natural and unpretentious. It is the place from which to enjoy and explore the Garden Route.
